OPP Pathway of Memories Celebrates Legacy of OPP Members and Volunteers

Date: April 24, 2017

The Ontario Provincial Police Youth Foundation (OPPFY) is recognizing the contributions of OPP members and volunteers through a pathway of inscribed memory stones. Funds raised through the donation of memory stones to the Pathway of Memories will go to the OPPYF, helping it continue to provide opportunities for OPP members to assist youths across the Province.

The Pathway of Memories is a unique way for individuals, corporate sponsors or relatives to pay tribute to current or former OPP employees, teams, units or milestones, OPP auxiliary members or other OPP volunteers who have contributed to the OPP legacy. Inscribed memory stones inlaid into the Pathway of Memories at OPP General Headquarters (GHQ) in Orillia, Ontario will provide a lasting and public record of service.

Engraved stones for the Pathway of Memories are available for a donation of $300.00, which procures an eight-inch by sixteen-inch inscribed memory stone.

In future, a commemoration service will be held to celebrate the individuals and groups whose stones were laid in the Pathway of Memories in the previous year. Donors will receive acknowledgement of their donation, a copy of the inscription and a description of the location of their stone in the Pathway of Memories.

For further information and application forms, please visit the OPPYF website –  https://oppyouthfoundation.ca. Applications may also be picked up at the Off Duty Shopp at OPP GHQ as well as at the OPPA Credit Union, 123 Ferris Lane in Barrie.
