President Karl our thanks for attending and addressing the riders. The importance of raising funds for prostate cancer research can never be stressed too often as this disease now strikes one in every six males. I proudly wore badge #4950 from September 1974 until late 1978. Spent all of my service at Nipigon Detachment. I was the Association Rep for a couple of years during that time. For family reasons, we moved west to Saskatchewan and in the early 1980's I was engaged as Chief of the municipal police service in Dalmeny, Saskatchewan and retired in early 2006. I'm a life member of the CACP and enjoy maintaining the association with the law enforcement community.

As a retired member of the OPP, I wish to say how very proud I was to watch the television coverage and to see how professional the active members of the OPP performed their duties at the G8 and the G20 conference. It was inspiring to see the tradition continue as the OPP officers once again served the people of Ontario. What a pity that the vast majority who support the police in this province, remain silent while we must now listen to the whining few who would see the police blamed for the actions of black hooded criminals , and for the misbehaviour of just about every other fringe group . To all the members of the OPP- "well done" Your job is no different than for those of us who "walked the line" in days past, Just remember that the vast majority of the people of Ontario are behind you, support you, and they need you. Stand proud and walk tall, for you deserve to do so. .

My condolences on your loss. I'm very greatful for the hard work your brave members do in working to keep our communities safe. Unfortunatley, the ignorant bleeding heart liberals in our society criticize the police to no end and always label them as being 'wrong'. But these very same people are kept safe and able to voice their opinions because of the hard work your members do. Keep up the great work. Rest in Peace Cst. Pham.

May your freinds and family find comfort knowing that you continue yet today to inspire your community by the good that you have brought to this world. In life, you chose to put your personal safety aside so that you could protect those in need of protection. May your sacrifice be the guiding light to those who chose to follow in your footsteps.
